Position Summary:
The responsibilities of a Manufacturing Technician are to support laboratory staff with the process of hematology products and components. Perform tasks in a laboratory setting including component fixation, separation and washes, and blending products according to approved protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with processing of animal and human blood.
- Perform component procedures as assigned.
- Ensure product/components are manufactured according to deadline.
- Monitor reagent and supply inventory.
- Clean and maintain work areas in accordance with procedures.
- Accurately complete and maintain required documents in accordance with procedures.
- Display a willingness to learn new concepts and techniques.
- Follow company policies, practices, and safety guidelines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years laboratory experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to follow procedures and knowledge of nonconformance.
- Ability to handle blood.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices.
- Knowledge of SOPs and lab procedures.
