Manufacturing Associate I (Miracle Maker)

Primary role: Formulate reagents, package supports, phosphoramidites, and other non-hazardous materials needed for synthesis and purification of oligonucleotides; work with hazardous materials and general chemistry techniques.

Responsibilities:
- Prepare catalog products using manufacturing instructions, procedures, and protocols
- Package, label, and store product
- Maintain inventory of catalog products and raw materials
- Perform general laboratory and equipment maintenance
- Evaluate and clean production glassware
- Evaluate and assemble support columns
- Distribute products with correct documentation using good documentation practices
- Inspect finished goods and completed orders prior to shipment
- Fulfill customer orders from stock
- Assist with shipping and receiving of products and materials
- Properly store, handle, and dispose of organic solvents, hazardous chemicals, and waste
- Work daily with Hazmats; wear proper PPE at all times
- Lift up to 50 lbs; make 40–70 liter batches at a time

Qualifications / Skills:
- Bachelor’s in Chemistry, Biology, or other science preferred (laboratory experience may substitute)
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to follow SOPs/Work Instructions and personalized instructions
- Self-motivated; able to work in teams and independently
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform repetitious tasks with accuracy
- Excellent attention to detail and fine motor skills
- Good timekeeping
- Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- FileMaker database and NetSuite ERP experience a plus
- Manufacturing/production role; no real research involved
