Manager โ€“ Workplace Strategist

Role & Responsibilities
- Build relationships with key stakeholders and building occupants in Indianapolis facilities; serve as primary tenant representative.
- Balance occupant needs with FM&WS strategic and tactical plans; represent the customer voice in local and corporate projects, including major capital projects.
- Establish ongoing communication across Workplace Strategy, Facility Management, Global Real Estate, Administrative, Discovery, Development, Manufacturing, and Global Facilities Delivery (GFD); partner with HSE, Fire, Safety and Security.
- Perform occupancy management: organize headcount/workplace needs, update occupancy database, analyze work environment data, and develop 0โ€“3-year occupancy strategy; drive occupancy rates and apply design/utilization standards; manage enclosed office exemptions.
- Oversee pharmaceutical research lab fit-out/renovation projects: ensure regulatory, safety, and workflow needs are met; plan/prioritize capital projects and define scope.
- Manage FM partners and leveraged resources: review/approve capital and expense plans, ensure funding/contract info, support Fiori/Ariba approvals and PM oversight, mentor designers, and direct customer relocation projects.
- Communicate project impacts during site redevelopment and support site strategic master planning.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Engineering, Life Sciences (Biology/Chemistry/Biochemistry), or other technical discipline.
- Authorized to work in the U.S. full-time (Lilly does not sponsor visas).

Other/Preferred Qualifications
- Lab/research development environment experience; knowledge of equipment/function.
- Experience in workplace strategy/occupancy planning or scientific/chemistry background.
- Strong interpersonal skills, results drive, independent/group work with minimal direction.
- Multi-project, multi-customer experience; communicate effectively with senior leadership.
- Strong analytics, Microsoft Office proficiency; ability to build relationships across competing priorities.

Additional Information
- Mondayโ€“Friday, normal business hours; Lilly@Work Flexible role may not have dedicated office/cubicle.
- Some travel may be required for training and visiting other Lilly sites.
