The Manager Trade Operations is responsible for managing and providing technical and non-technical customer service, enhancing customer satisfaction through effective problem-solving and support.
Objectives:
- Own critical Trade Operations components for a best-in-class customer experience across Takeda customer channels.
- Lead core Trade Operations capabilities: order management, product availability, contract compliance, and quarter-end activities; ensure accuracy, efficiency, and continuity of supply with frontline execution.
- Build cross-functional relationships with Finance, Commercial Operations, and Global Distribution & Logistics to enable seamless, compliant order-to-cash processes.
- Represent Trade Operations in cross-functional initiatives and enterprise projects advancing operational excellence.
- Partner with Trade Operations leadership on day-to-day operations, executional excellence, process discipline, and continuous improvement.
- Execute end-to-end order management across wholesaler, bio-distributor, specialty pharmacy, and direct customers.
- Lead Trade Operations projects/initiatives; define objectives and deliver timely outcomes.
- Drive prioritization, communication, and alignment for process changes and strategic initiatives.
- Manage escalations and critical supply scenarios; triage emergency orders and resolve operational issues.
- Identify process improvement opportunities; optimize systems/workflows and support adoption of new tools/technologies.
- Own resolution of customer order exceptions (returns/reverse logistics, investigations, PQC event reporting, shipment issues, logistics-related events).
- Represent Customer Experience in company projects and product launch activities.
Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelorβs degree required
- 2+ years in pharmaceutical manufacturing, distribution, operations, or related experience
- Experience driving cross-functional initiatives across systems and functions
- SAP/ERP workflow experience preferred
Additional:
- Flexible to cover Customer Service hours 9:00AMβ6:00PM EST MβF and work after hours for emergencies
- Travel to Takeda offices <10%
Compensation/Benefits:
- U.S. base salary range: $103,500β$162,690
