Manager, Strategic Planning & Operations
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategy, transformation, innovation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement efforts across Engineering (technologies, processes, people).
- Leverage data and a consistent process to assess needs, develop options, make recommendations, and implement next steps; prepare and deliver executive-level presentations.
- Serve as a central hub for cross-functional communication and planning across Engineering.
- Partner with senior leadership on strategy, goals, objectives, and execution.
- Partner to solve complex, high-impact business challenges.
- Lead engineering transformation workstreams to improve performance, scalability, and resilience.
- Lead and deliver cross-functional initiatives aligned to Engineering priorities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Doctorate degree OR
- Master’s degree and 3 years of business analysis, strategy, project management experience OR
- Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of business analysis, strategy, project management experience OR
- Associate’s degree and 10 years of business analysis, strategy, project management experience OR
- High school diploma/GED and 12 years of business analysis, strategy, project management experience.
- Experience managing people and/or leading teams/projects/programs or directing resource allocation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Biotech operations experience; knowledge of biotech industry trends and competitive landscape.
- Strong business/financial acumen (facilities and capital projects); understanding of Capital Projects, Facilities & Engineering Services, and EH&S.
- Continuous improvement experience (Lean, Six Sigma, etc.).
- Project management, analysis, and data visualization (Smartsheet, Tableau, PowerBI).
- Management consulting (Big 4/MBB) or internal strategy/operations experience.
- Leadership track record; strong executive presence and communication.
