Role Summary

The Alkermes Commercial Learning and Leadership Development (CL&LD) team is looking for someone to lead the development of field training programs supporting Alkermes’ portfolio of mental health treatments. The role covers the full portfolio of promoted products and Commercial field teams, with a focus on creating impactful, world-class training programs that enhance sales force effectiveness. The position operates in a hybrid environment (60% in office, 40% remote).

Responsibilities

  • Deliver and evaluate training programs, curricula, and training materials for field representatives, account managers and field management
  • Organize and facilitate field training programs, meetings (National & Regional) and delivery of new materials
  • Conduct training workshops on disease states, products, marketplaces, and contextual selling skills for all audiences
  • Prepare and deliver polished presentations in team settings and with upper management
  • Represent department on projects and implement tactical direction of team projects
  • Communicate with marketing, field leadership, and other stakeholders to identify training requirements and develop targeted programs
  • Learn CCC process, track content and expiration, and partner with other departments to support CCC approvals
  • Support vendor identification, selection, and day-to-day management for field training projects (SOW/PO generation)
  • Establish relationships across internal and external contacts, navigate organizational networks, and contribute in cross-functional meetings
  • Manage travel and expenses and project-based budgets as assigned

Qualifications

  • Manager: Bachelor's degree; 8+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales or related experience
  • Sr Manager: Bachelor's degree; 8+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device sales or related experience; 2+ years prior training experience

Skills

  • Experience selling injectables and/or physician-administered treatments in challenging reimbursement environments
  • Experience selling in Psychiatry or Addiction markets
  • Building and executing training programs
  • Utilizing technology to engage field groups
  • Proven sales success and ability to lead projects
  • Initiative, ownership, and independent work capability
  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
  • In-depth understanding of sales and the sales process
  • Team player with ability to develop stakeholder credibility
  • Flexibility and adaptability based on feedback
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint

Education

  • Bachelor's degree

Additional Requirements

  • Travel up to 60%
