Manager/Senior Manager, Legal Technology and AI

Role: Legal AI & Technology Specialist at Flagship Pioneering, focusing on building and deploying AI-driven tools to enhance legal operations within a life sciences and venture creation context. Responsibilities include developing AI solutions for contract review, legal research, and document automation; designing prompt engineering frameworks; integrating AI tools with existing legal systems; establishing AI governance, quality control, and risk assessment protocols; and driving adoption through training and process documentation. The role involves evaluating vendor tools, supporting AI pilot programs, and collaborating cross-functionally to align AI initiatives with organizational objectives. Requirements: Bachelor's in computer science, AI/ML, or related fields; proven experience in AI/ML system development, especially with large language models and NLP; familiarity with prompt engineering, RAG, and AI evaluation; exposure to legal workflows and legal technology landscape; strong communication skills; ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Preferred: experience with legal AI tools, legal operations, and responsible AI policies; background in life sciences or biotech. The position offers hybrid work in Cambridge, with a salary range of $108k-$176k, and includes benefits.
