Role Summary

Manager, Regional Sales (PAIN) (Northeast) role overseeing daily supervision of a geographic region, coaching for performance, and monitoring sales activity. Leads a team of Sales Representatives and/or Territory Managers to raise product awareness, educate the market, and generate prescriptions.

Responsibilities

  • Observe Sales Representatives/Territory Managersβ€šΓ„Γ΄ sales presentations in the field and provide feedback.
  • Complete field coaching reports after travel days.
  • Develop and maintain effective business plans for Territory Managers.
  • Ensure teamwork across stakeholders for the brand (MSL, marketing, other field counterparts).
  • Coach the group to improve sales presentations and hold representatives accountable for performance goals.
  • Plan and conduct effective sales meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with Company policies and regional expectations.
  • Share success stories and best practices with the region.
  • Monitor data analytics to maximize impact on prescribing physicians.
  • Implement and manage incentive programs to motivate Sales Representatives/Territory Managers.
  • Identify high-performing representatives for recognition and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Administration on literature requests, supplies, data maintenance, support issues, and fleet management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience required.
  • 3+ years of management or training experience in a pharmaceutical environment preferred.
  • Experience managing sales representatives required.
  • Demonstrated track record of success required.
  • Strong leadership, team building, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of building strong teams.
  • Product launch experience preferred.
  • Sound judgment and strategic decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to interpret and utilize business data to drive positive results.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build business relationships.
  • Effective written and oral communication.
  • Ability to deliver presentations; capable of performing all job duties including:
  • Driving in a geographically large territory for long periods.
  • Traveling by airplane and car, usually within the US.
  • Remaining in standing position for prolonged periods.
  • Other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Approximately 50-75% travel required.
