Role Summary

Manager, Regional Sales (PAIN) (Northeast) for a global pharmaceutical company. Responsible for the daily supervision of one geographical region, coaching for improved performance, and monitoring sales activity. Leads a group of Sales Representatives and/or Territory Managers to generate prescriptions and raise product awareness.

Responsibilities

  • Observe sales presentations by Sales Representatives/Territory Managers and provide feedback.
  • Complete field coaching reports after travel days.
  • Develop and maintain effective business plans for Territory Managers.
  • Ensure teamwork across stakeholders for the brand (MSL, marketing, other field counterparts).
  • Coach the group to improve sales presentations and hold representatives accountable for performance goals.
  • Plan and conduct effective sales meetings.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and regional expectations.
  • Share success stories and best practices with the region.
  • Monitor data analytics to maximize impact on prescribing physicians.
  • Implement and manage incentive programs for Sales Representatives/Territory Managers.
  • Identify high-performing representatives for recognition and growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales Administration on literature requests, data maintenance, support issues, and fleet management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of successful pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • 3+ years of management or training experience in a pharmaceutical environment (preferred).
  • Experience managing sales representatives.
  • Demonstrated track record of success.
  • Strong leadership, team building, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Track record of building strong teams.
  • Product launch experience (preferred).
  • Sound judgment and strategic decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to interpret and use business data to drive results.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Ability to deliver presentations; capable of extensive travel and field responsibilities.
  • Approximately 50-75% travel required.
