Manager Quality Control I - Nights

Role: Manager of Night Shift Quality Control at Amgen, leading GMP-regulated laboratory operations to ensure timely, compliant analytical testing across chemistry, bioassay, and microbiology. Responsibilities: oversee sample management, perform complex tests, support investigations, and maintain data integrity; serve as primary QC contact during night hours, collaborating with manufacturing and utilizing electronic systems like LIMS and Veeva Vault. Requirements: high school diploma with 12+ years QC experience or corresponding higher education with fewer years; proven leadership in managing QC teams and operations. Preferred: bachelor’s in a scientific field, GMP lab experience, prior shift leadership, and strong knowledge of data integrity, GDP, GMP, and 21 CFR Part 11. High-value: GMP microbiology/chemistry testing, microbiology bioassays, validation, and laboratory investigations. Work setup: night shift (Wednesday–Saturday), with expectations for autonomous work during off-hours.
