What Youβll Be Doing
- Guide and supervise hourly Microbiology technicians; ensure efficient completion of testing and support activities.
- Motivate, train, and resolve team issues while maintaining a compliant, safe environment.
- Administer personnel policies per the local bargaining agreement.
- Manage critical testing/assaying of validation, raw materials, process intermediates, and finished product samples.
- Supervise testing duties, including scheduling assignments by priority.
- Maintain up-to-date SOPs, Process Specific Training Modules, and Test Methods; train personnel.
- Ensure accurate and timely lab work; critically evaluate data and recommend sample acceptance/rejection.
- Maintain records, drive productivity improvements, and manage supply inventory.
- Support deviation investigations, out-of-trend results, and test failures for manufacturing/release/stability.
- Investigate safety/environmental incidents and near misses; improve quality/assays using lean principles.
- Support regulatory inspections and train Laboratory Operations managers and/or technicians.
Required (What Makes You a Great Fit)
- Bachelorβs degree in Biology, Microbiology, Virology, Biochemistry, or related.
- 3+ years post-degree lab, manufacturing, or QC experience.
- Strong verbal/written communication; interpersonal/supervisory skills.
- Continuous learning and analytical problem-solving.
Preferred
- Biological and/or biochemistry-based assay experience.
- cGMP knowledge.
- Advanced degree.

- Salary range: $96,200.00β$151,400.00; annual bonus/long-term incentive (if applicable). Comprehensive benefits (medical/dental/vision, 401(k), paid holidays, vacation, compassionate/sick days).
