Manager, Product Management

Responsibilities:
- Solution Architecture: Define and implement the technical architecture for platform hosting, ensuring scalability, security, and compliance
- Multi-Tenant Architecture Migration: Build and implement migration from single-tenant to multi-tenant architecture for resource utilization and client isolation
- Technical Strategy: Collaborate with product and engineering leadership to align technical solutions with business requirements and platform vision
- Data Layer Development: Design and implement a data abstraction layer supporting multiple database technologies and optimized data access
- Backend API Development: Build and maintain robust, scalable RESTful APIs and serverless functions
- Hosting: Serve as primary technical lead for hosting infrastructure
- PII/PHI Data Handling: Implement secure handling practices for PHI/PII
- Security Best Practices: Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, and audit logging

Qualifications:
- 8+ years professional software development with strong backend focus
- Hosting production applications in regulated domains (healthcare/life science/genetics) with data-intensive patient engagement experience
- Expert proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, and AWS serverless (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3)
- Strong knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB/MongoDB) databases; experience designing RESTful APIs at scale
- Solid microservices and distributed systems understanding
- Experience handling PII/PHI and healthcare compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST)
- Security knowledge: OWASP Top 10, encryption, authentication/authorization, audit logging; encryption at rest/in transit
- Deep AWS expertise (EC2, RDS, Lambda, CloudFront, VPC, IAM, etc.) and Infrastructure as Code proficiency
- Bachelor’s degree (or 8+ years equivalent); minimum 5+ years experience; minimum 2+ years senior/lead role; proven delivery of production-grade systems
