Role Summary
Manager, Procurement Global IT will develop robust category strategies aligned to Johnson & Johnson technology priorities and act as the global supplier relationship manager for strategic suppliers. The role collaborates with the business, the J&J technology team, key suppliers, Global Services, and the broader Procurement function. The position can be based out of Titusville, NJ; Raritan, NJ; New Brunswick, NJ; or Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities
- Understand the JJ Technology priorities and devise category strategies that advance those priorities.
- Collaborate with business leaders and Service Delivery team to ensure Procurement strategies meet the business needs, and are adopted within the business
- Identify industry trends that Procurement must incorporate in its category strategies to ensure sustainable relevance to the business
- Partner with the Category and Service Delivery teams in the execution of strategic sourcing events, negotiations and contract lifecycle management
- Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with key suppliers
- Deliver against savings, innovation and other performance targets for the organization in the roleβs area of responsibility and ensure target achievement
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum 5 years related experience is required (preferably in Procurement, Business Operations or Supply Chain)
- Required: Influencing skills - Able to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal
- Required: Strong leadership and collaboration skills at the executive level, as well as with peers
- Required: Ability to work cross-functionally with IT, legal, finance, and business teams
- Required: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to expertly present complex information to executives
- Required: Broad-based understanding of core procurement areas of focus including spend management, source-to-pay
- Required: Understanding of legal terms, compliance, and risk management in contracts
- Required: Demonstrated ability to successfully work with data, digital tools and technology to drive insights, business value and process efficiency
- Required: Strong project and change management capabilities
- Required: Proven learning agility, improving both yourself and the people around you
- Required: Ability to effectively deliver against Goals and Objectives while also balancing shared roles and responsibilities with other team members
- Preferred: Preferred experience in Pharmaceuticals, Life Sciences, Medical Technology sectors
- Preferred: Past experience in managing IT procurement across Lifesciences, Pharmaceuticals
- Preferred: High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community, based on broad experience
- Preferred: Track record in participating and leading cross-functional teams
- Preferred: Flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment
Education
- A Bachelor's Degree is required, and an MBA or other advanced degree is desirable.
