Manager Preclinical Research Strategy and Operations

Role: Manager of Preclinical Research Strategy and Operations, focusing on optimizing operational excellence within the Preclinical Sciences department. Responsibilities: partner with leadership to support strategic initiatives, coordinate cross-functionally with Procurement, Legal, Lab Operations, Records Management, and CROs; streamline vendor engagement, contracting workflows, and documentation processes; lead change management and process improvement efforts; develop operational tools, dashboards, and procedures; facilitate communication with leadership on progress and risks; support business continuity and organizational priorities. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, or related; 5+ years in strategic or business operations, project management, or related fields; experience in biotech, pharma, or regulated environments; proficiency with tools like Excel, Power BI, Coupa, Icertis, Science Exchange; strong cross-functional coordination, process improvement, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred: experience supporting lab or scientific operations, records compliance, or continuous improvement methodologies. High-Value: biotechnology/pharmaceutical setting, supporting preclinical or research operations, vendor and contract management, change management, and process optimization. WorkSetup: hybrid or on-site; flexible to up to two remote days per week.
