Role Summary

The Physician Substitute Manager is part of the site leadership team, promoting company culture and enforcing company standards and expectations within all areas of the center. This position provides supervision to all Physician Substitutes within the plasma collection center, focusing on operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, performance evaluations, time and attendance oversight, and corrective actions as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise all Physician Substitutes within the plasma collection center.
  • Ensure competency of medical staff and adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), FDA guidance, and regulations when determining donor acceptability.
  • Solicit guidance from the Medical Director and/or Center Licensed Physician(s) when necessary.
  • Oversee review of normal donor laboratory tests and proper management of abnormal test results to ensure regulatory and ADMA procedural compliance.
  • Report directly to the Center Director for day-to-day management and leadership.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director or Licensed Center Physician(s) on decisions affecting donor suitability.
  • Ensure appropriate medical oversight in screening, phlebotomy, and plasma processing areas.
  • Work in the production areas of the Donor Center 85% of the time to identify production, staffing, quality, and personnel issues.

Qualifications

  • Experience supervising medical staff in a plasma collection or similar clinical setting.
  • Strong knowledge of SOPs, FDA guidance, and regulatory requirements related to donor screening and plasma processing.
  • Ability to collaborate with Medical Directors and Licensed Physicians and to make decisions impacting donor suitability.
  • Hands-on experience in phlebotomy and donor screening processes is preferred.
