The Manager, Peer-to-Peer Engagement & Congress Programs is responsible for executing peer-to-peer (P2P) programs and planning scientific congresses.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of P2P initiatives including speaker bureau programs, advisory boards, and HCP-led educational events
- Align P2P programming with brand strategy and HCP targeting priorities
- Oversee speaker training logistics, field-based speaker programs, content development/review, and program performance tracking
- Ensure P2P activities comply with company policies, PhRMA guidelines, OIG regulations, and applicable laws
- Manage speaker program budget and provide line of sight to Sales leadership
- Manage planning and on-site execution of prioritized congresses and product theaters
- Coordinate cross-functional congress teams (Medical Affairs, Market Access, Sales, external agencies)
- Oversee congress HCP engagement programming; develop timelines, budgets, and post-event recaps
- Serve as primary point of contact for congress vendors and association liaisons
- Partner with Regulatory, Legal, and MLR to ensure timely approval of materials
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs; manage agency relationships; track spend vs. budget
Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree required (health sciences, business, or marketing preferred); MBA/advanced degree preferred
- 5 years pharmaceutical/biotech marketing with at least 2 years in HCP engagement, P2P, or congress operations
- Experience with KOLs and speaker bureau programs
- Familiarity with Veeva Vault or similar MLR review platforms
- Agency management experience
- Strongly preferred: rare disease, cardiovascular, specialty, or orphan drug marketing experience
- Solid understanding of PhRMA Code and OIG/pharmaceutical promotional compliance
- Excellent communication skills; ability to influence without authority
- Travel up to 30β40% (including weekends)
Pay range (California): $120,000β$145,000. Competitive salaries and excellent benefits. Candidates must have current, valid authorization to work in the country where the role is located.
