Role Summary

The Manager Payer Market Access Analytics leads analytics to identify market access opportunities and threats for AbbVie US brands, and collaborates with U.S. Market Access commercial leaders to develop pricing, contracting, and access strategies that maximize formulary access and net sales. The role requires strong data analytics capabilities and subject matter expertise in the U.S. market access environment, with insights that influence pricing, contracting, and other access strategies for patient and physician access.

Responsibilities

  • Lead analytics and insights on key oncology brands and/or launch indications to influence market access strategy.
  • Co-develop with U.S. Market Access leaders innovative pricing and contracting strategies to optimize payer formulary access and maximize net sales.
  • Identify market dynamics through data science and claims analysis; build models to portray risks and opportunities.
  • Leverage knowledge of the U.S. Oncology healthcare landscape to address opportunities and threats.
  • Build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders across Market Access Marketing and Field teams.
  • Align insights with Brand insight partners and integrate with HCP and Consumer insights to inform decisions.

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree
  • 6+ years of professional experience
  • 4+ years of related industry experience in marketing/sales analytics
  • Strong storytelling skills; ability to distill complex information into concise, impactful messages
  • Preferred: Master’s degree or MBA
  • Technical skills including SQL, R, Python, Dataiku and/or Power BI
  • Strong working knowledge of syndicated pharmaceutical data sources
  • Oncology experience or rare disease experience
  • Market access experience with Health Plans, PBMs, Hospital Systems, Specialty Pharmacies, and Healthcare Policy stakeholders
  • Pharmaceutical marketing analytics/insights experience
