Role Summary

Remote-based Manager Field Operations (Oncology). Join the growing US Oncology Business at BMS and contribute to a best-in-class Sales Strategy and Operations team. The role favors teamwork, innovation, and patient-centered decisions, and supports multiple regions. Living within the listed regions is not required.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and follows up on regional operating issues and activities (e.g., ad hoc requests from the home office and field).
  • Serves as a liaison with home office functional areas to troubleshoot regional operations issues when needed (e.g., Sales Operations, Sales Strategy, Sales Learning).
  • Lead the pull-through, execution and analysis of Brand initiatives at the region level.
  • Assist in planning regional meetings and teleconferences; support two RBDs in development, communication and implementation of region business plans, and track execution and performance.
  • Interpret productivity and performance reports to diagnose trends, opportunities, and potential business issues.
  • MFO provides recommendations to improve regional sales performance and monitors resource allocation decisions to district business managers including promotional programs, promotions and events budgets, and marketing materials.
  • Assist RBDs with development and execution of region communications and provide subject matter expertise on sales systems (e.g., SharePoint, OneLook Specialty, Veeva/InterAct, e-Roster, HCP Connect, RxVantage, a Coach).
  • When necessary, as directed by RBDs and the Associate Director of Field Operations, conduct field contacts and provide coaching to TBMs on selling model and sales competencies.
  • Lead the inquiry and resolution process regarding sales reporting for field teams in both regions, and ad hoc requests from the home office.
  • Lead and develop the Region TAP teams through supporting Region/Enterprise initiatives.
  • Support monthly Region TAP calls to review and train on latest national initiatives and technology updates.
  • Lead bi-monthly National TAP calls with Strategy and Ops support.
  • Work closely with the MFO team to share learnings, expertise, and provide feedback.
  • Bring a diverse and innovative perspective to enhance competitiveness and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical or relevant sales experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver on sales objectives.
  • Experience with customer base, customer and market industry knowledge.
  • Successful experience working with the local sales matrix team to accomplish business objectives.
  • Strong sales performance track record.
  • Experience in supporting DBM with onboarding new representatives and assisting with training sales skills and product knowledge.
  • Understanding of the region BMS management matrix team.
  • Ability to apply customer insight and market industry knowledge to business decision making.
  • Skill in interpreting and using business and marketing analytics.
  • Knowledge and skill in development and execution of local sales plans that support strategic initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the sales process and selling skills.
  • Ability to impact and influence others with no direct reporting relationship.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and clearly and appropriately direct and synthesize communications.
  • Planning and project management skills.
  • Ability to meet the requirements of a Qualified Driver, including being at least 21 years old, possessing a valid driver's license, and a driving risk level deemed acceptable by the company.
  • Preferred: Well documented examples of strong leadership, compliant execution, and a winning mindset.
  • Preferred: Launch experience in a competitive market.
  • Preferred: Demonstrated experience partnering with district management to support the execution of approved brand tactics and onboarding of new representatives.
