Role: Manager of Meetings and Conventions overseeing planning, logistics, and execution of internal and external events for Takeda. Responsibilities: manage end-to-end logistics for meetings such as sales meetings, conferences, and symposia; lead vendor relationships; develop budgets, negotiate contracts, and ensure compliance with regulatory, safety, and fair market value standards; collaborate with legal, medical, commercial, and procurement teams; plan resource allocation aligned with demand and launch activities; implement technological solutions and process improvements. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree; 5+ years’ experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences event planning; strong project management and stakeholder collaboration skills; knowledge of compliance, regulatory standards, and managing large-scale events. Preferred: advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, MS); industry-specific experience with internal meetings, medical congresses, or trade shows; familiarity with virtual/hybrid event platforms and analytics tools; comfort with travel up to 20%, including nights and weekends. High-Value: pharmaceutical/biopharma industry experience; focus on compliance, safety, and regulatory standards; managing multi-stakeholder events; experience with large national meetings, trade shows, or medical congresses.
