Role Summary
Our Material & Supplier Quality Assurance team is hiring a Manager to lead a team that ensures supplier change notifications are effectively managed, communicated, and implemented while maintaining compliance and product quality standards. This role will be based at our IOPS Rensselaer site, providing global support for team initiatives and overseeing the daily activities of a team of QA Specialists.
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier change notification processes, ensuring timely communication, escalation, and compliance.
- Manage and mentor a team responsible for tracking and implementing supplier change notifications, including ensuring team members follow established workflows and timelines for change management.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to review and approve proposed supplier changes and assess their impact on product quality.
- Perform compliance monitoring of area operations, including trending of failures and evaluating effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Prepare and complete action plans; implementing productivity, quality, and customer-service standards.
- Drive continuous improvement in change management processes by identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in current workflows and implementing solutions to enhance productivity and compliance.
Qualifications
- Required: 6+ years of relevant experience for Associate Manager; 7+ years for Manager; level determined by qualifications; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Preferred: Leadership experience, including understanding and listening to team members while encouraging a productive team environment.
- Preferred: Ability to provide clear direction to others in ambiguous situations and environments.
- Preferred: Experience partnering with suppliers and vendors of materials and/or components.
- Preferred: Previous quality experience in a GMP environment.
Education
- Bachelorβs degree in scientific subject area or related field.
