Role Summary

Manager - Manufacturing Finance responsible for financial planning, reporting, forecasting, and analysis at a brand-new parenteral manufacturing site. Serves as a key financial business partner, influencing leadership and presenting complex financial information to non-financial personnel, while managing local and major capital at the site.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate processes for long-range plan, quarterly forecasts, and annual business plan for a brand-new manufacturing site
  • Present monthly financial results and explain main drivers of business performance to local and plant management
  • Annual product costing for key products
  • Site local and major capital management reporting and related analytics
  • Implement and establish best practices internally and create procedure guidelines for new site development
  • Perform financial analysis for plant operations and provide decision support on operational and technical matters
  • Monthly financial closing of books
  • Prepare accounting journal vouchers and documentation for financial closing
  • Provide guidance on financial policies, internal controls, costing, and accounting matters
  • Prepare Annual Business Plan Financials
  • Prepare monthly OPEX reports and analyze variances vs. plan
  • Serve as SOX coordinator for the site and interface with corporate contacts
  • Support management and business partners on initiatives including expense control, strategic sourcing, materials pricing, monthly metrics, headcount reporting, and operational opportunities
  • Create and establish new hire finance training material
  • Capital management: develop site capital plan, monitor spending, and provide depreciation forecasting

Qualifications

  • Minimum B.S. in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
  • 4+ years experience in Finance/Accounting focusing on planning, forecasting, and reporting

Skills

  • Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience (preferred)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-starter and motivated
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and independently
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP
  • Cost accounting / product costing experience
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization abilities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

Education

  • B.S. in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent
