Responsibilities:
- Drive best-in-class study execution by creating a globally inclusive, innovative, empowering environment focused on skill enhancement, strategic/critical thinking, and continuous learning.
- Performance management of direct reports: gather stakeholder feedback, conduct/document performance discussions, set measurable goals, provide goal progress updates, and complete business HR requirements.
- Mentor and support SMAs’ growth through individualized development plans and stretch opportunities.
- Support business continuity and shifting needs through efficient, flexible, strategic resource management (demand planning, vacancy management, and growth/development).
- Ensure direct reports adhere to corporate/divisional policies and procedures and complete required training on time.
- Contribute to Quality Systems Documents (QSDs) and the training curriculum for SMAO roles.
- Build relationships with direct reports and cross-functional stakeholders to implement execution strategies and drive results.
- Support organizational efficiencies and process improvements via SMAO/CSL/CDO workstreams.
- Mentor peer SMAO Line Managers (as needed).

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required (health care or scientific field preferred).
- 8+ years of clinical research experience; 6+ years in study operations management and people management.
- 3+ years of direct people management experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills: influence, persuasive communication, trust building, respectful challenge.
- Demonstrated coaching/mentoring experience.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to adapt to rapidly changing needs.
- Drug development/clinical operations experience with advanced working knowledge of ICH and GCP; understanding of global regulatory environment.
- Proven study execution success across global geographies and/or therapeutic areas; manage multiple priorities.
