Role Summary

The Manager HRIS Platform Design is the process architect responsible for the ongoing design and deployment of integrated solutions within Workday and tangential platforms that enable simple and effective colleague experiences when it comes to HR processes. This role will be responsible for supporting various modules in Workday configuration with an emphasis on Workday Security design and configuration. This includes targeted project work, business processes design and setup, and general support for the overall service and support delivery model for users. The role will work closely with PX stakeholders, the CS GPL team and Digital.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to understand business objectives and develop creative and sustainable technical and organizational solutions.
  • Provide functional thought leadership, guidance, and support on deployment of integrated solutions within Workday to enable a seamless colleague experience.
  • Contribute to the success of targeted business initiatives and goals and lead components of initiatives.
  • Document and configure Workday system updates, inclusive of Security and Business Process modifications, ensuring alignment with all compliance standards.
  • Participate in user acceptance testing for Workday changes, both in coordination with the Workday Functional Testing Team for structured releases and independently, as allowable.
  • Collaborate with Process Architects, Reporting, Digital, User-Experience Design teams, etc. to ensure that the platform solutions are cohesive, coordinated and align with guiding principles.
  • Independently troubleshoot reported system issues by testing setup and design elements to ensure efficient operation of the Workday system.
  • Create and maintain ongoing relationships with local People Experience resources that can be leveraged for explaining local process needs and assistance with testing.
  • Actively support People Experience initiatives through both technical and non-technical expertise to drive maximum value and benefit.

Qualifications

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 2 years of experience; OR a PhD with 0+ years of experience; OR as associate's degree with 8 years of experience; OR a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, system design, hands-on technical configuration, project management, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills in a global cross-functional team environment.
  • Strong understanding of Workday's configurable security framework, and the ability to design, implement, and troubleshoot role- and user-based security groups, domain security policies, and business process security policies.
  • Capable of serving as an advisor to various partners and groups across different disciplines in Workday, demonstrating both functional and technical knowledge.
  • Strong functional understanding of the overall core Workday solution, with ability to visualize and understand end-to-end process flows.
  • Ability to take ownership and accountability of projects and prioritize critical objectives while driving initiatives to completion with on-time and on-budget metrics.
  • Demonstrated ability to consistently adhere to a broad variety of organizational standards and policies, with a relentless dedication to success.
  • Experience working with a global, virtual team, and the ability to work with little oversight and direction.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and collaboration skills with both technical and functional end users.
