Role Summary
As a Manager, Global Procurement Research Services/CDMO, you will be accountable for supporting the definition and implementation of our global research and pre-clinical service category strategy. This role specifically targets Contract Development Manufacturing Organizations (CDMOs) supporting developmental, small batch non-GMP manufacturing services, purification services, chemistry services & viral clearance. Additional you may support pre-clinical services related to PK/PD and toxicology, bioanalytical services, and research model services.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with partners in Discovery Research through pre-Clinical Development
- Leads negotiations and complex contracts/contracting, supplier management activities.
- Takes direction to drive value in terms of cost savings, cash flow improvement, and other efficiency savings from category management activities.
- Participating in organizational decisions with critical short and long-term impact on the success, efficiency, growth, and results.
- Demonstrates knowledge of efficient global procurement organizations and processes within the biopharmaceutical industry to support the growth and evolution while driving improvements.
- Manages category activities to ensure compliance with appropriate GxPs and other applicable regulations, as applicable.
- Negotiates contract terms and conditions in consultation with Law department aligned with Regeneronโรรดs priorities and business requirements.
- Uses data to drive decision-making for successful category projects.
- Coaches proficiency on procurement technical skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study plus relevant, progressive experience in procurement, including experience in Pharma/BioPharma.
- Experience successfully managing category processes, including strategy development and execution.
- Experience successfully establishing and driving Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs and governance models.
- Experience working effectively with cross-functional teams to drive results in research and pre-clinical service categories or related categories through effective sourcing, negotiations and contracting.
Additional Requirements
- Provide insight and knowledge regarding rates, unit costs, costing structures, cost models, and TCO to enable optimal negotiations.
- Uses external data sources, market information, and supplier engagement.
- Demonstrated success supporting global supply market evaluation processes using all available market intelligence, risk, compliance, and financial assessment tools.
- Working knowledge with sourcing contracting tools, ERPโรรดs, and eRFx systems preferred. (Oracle, Zycus, Ariba, Other)
