Manager FP&A Job Description
The Manager FP&A will play a pivotal role in partnering with various business groups to achieve the Company’s budget goals. This individual will oversee all aspects of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), including planning and budgeting cycles, long-range planning, management reporting, business partnering, and ad-hoc analytics. The person will be required to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to build and manage effective working relationships throughout the organization. They will report to the Sr. Director Revenue & FP&A.
We are seeking a candidate who can commute to our Coral Gables headquarters for a hybrid schedule. While primarily office-based, remote candidates with the necessary qualifications, excellent communication and collaboration skills, and flexibility for occasional office travel will also be considered.
Requirements
Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly Latest Estimate updates.
- Support the development of long-range planning.
- Prepare incremental budgets for acquisitions made throughout the year.
- Cultivate strong working relationships with budget owners to drive cross-functional coordination and obtain business insights.
- Facilitate and lead meetings with budget owners, supporting them in developing and achieving financial goals and objectives for their functions.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive reports to management and budget owners and other key stakeholders.
- Perform in-depth quarterly actual versus budget expense analyses for inclusion in Board and Audit Committee presentations.
- Support the production of monthly, quarterly, and annual management reporting.
- Collaborate with the General Ledger (GL) team to support the quarterly close process.
- Create and assemble presentation materials for the CFO to deliver to the Board and Committees.
- Participate in various special projects as required.
Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in FP&A, financial auditing, consulting, or operations with significant exposure to financial reporting.
- Experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry is preferred.
- Proficient in technical accounting; prior Big 4 or consulting experience is a plus.
- Advanced IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Great Plains, Excel, and JET Reports.
