Role Summary

Manager Forecasting responsible for providing forecasting support to the commercial organization for either neuroscience or rare disease franchises, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, Patient Service, Finance, Manufacturing, and other functions to develop accurate product performance forecasts and long-range planning.

Responsibilities

  • Support global forecasting efforts with commercial leadership to develop multi-year monthly forecasts (patients, units, revenue) leveraging historical performance, market insights, and team inputs.
  • Provide demand and revenue estimates for month-, quarter-, and year-end performance to leadership, brand leads, finance, and investor relations.
  • Design, build, and maintain forecasting models and predictive analytics; adopt novel forecasting approaches as appropriate.
  • Maintain monthly financial and manufacturing forecasts and annually revise long-range forecasts with cross-functional partners.
  • Conduct in-depth data analysis to build robust assumptions and forecast inputs.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and recommend corrective actions.
  • Present and defend forecasting approach, methodology, and outputs to management.
  • Collaborate with Commercial Analysis, Insights, and Operations on modeling, data, and market research needs; respond to senior leadership requests.
  • Ensure forecasting activities comply with financial and ethical guidelines.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Required: 5+ years in Commercial or Sales Operations with at least 2 years in forecasting in pharmaceutical or life sciences; Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, or related field; MS/MBA preferred.
  • Proven experience with forecasting methodologies leveraging historical demand, primary/secondary research, and team inputs to build forecasting models in Excel and/or other tools.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting methodologies (including EPI and historical trend approaches) and quantitative techniques for product launch and in-line forecasts.
  • Advanced modeling skills in Excel and/or forecasting/statistical software; proficient in reporting applications.
  • Excellent analytical, financial acumen, and problem-solving abilities; creative and strategic thinker.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills; able to present at executive level and delve into details.
