Job Overview

Amylyx Pharmaceuticals, a clinical-stage pharmaceutical company based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, is seeking a Manager for Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join their expanding FP&A team. The role requires a finance professional with experience in the life sciences industry, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to support the company's growth. The position acts as a strategic financial business partner to General & Administrative functions, supporting budgeting, forecasting, financial consolidation, and reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering financial insights
  • Supporting annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
  • Participating in leadership meetings
  • Preparing monthly performance reports
  • Improving financial processes
  • Collaborating with Finance and Accounting teams
  • Leading financial and operational analysis
  • Supporting company-wide initiatives with financial modeling
  • Consolidating financial results
  • Serving as a super user of planning and budgeting systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • At least 6 years of relevant finance experience
  • Proficiency with ERP and budgeting systems (NetSuite and Adaptive Planning preferred)
  • Experience collaborating with Accounting and cross-functional teams
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Experience in biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry is preferred

Work Environment

The role supports remote work within the United States with some travel to Cambridge, MA required. Certain states are excluded for hiring due to business considerations.
