Job Description Summary
The Manager, Field Operations & Analytics, is responsible for driving effectiveness and operational excellence to enhance overall field performance for customer-facing field teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage incentive compensation planning and administration (plan design analytics, goal setting, reporting, payout administration, awards/recognition).
- Manage field deployment and territory alignments to ensure optimal deployment to achieve commercial objectives.
- Lead and oversee Sales team CRM enhancements and new projects.
- Analyze CRM configuration changes with Veeva CRM System Administrator (IT); develop CRM test scripts and coordinate/schedule UATs.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement CRM, customer data, and reporting process improvements.
- Improve/enrich CRM data quality (HCP/COE data; match/merge and stewardship activities).
- Manage roster and onboarding/off-boarding for field-facing teams.
- Lead quarterly cyclical alignment changes and impact analysis; communicate ZTT/roster/target lists to cross-functional partners.
- Plan/govern/continuously improve integrated change request processes across BI/IT.
- Oversee/develop geographical sales analysis and reporting support.
- Prioritize projects, meet timelines, and exceed quality standards.
- Analyze reporting data requirements and ensure data quality and reconciliation to core systems.
- Create/maintain SOP documentation for Bus Ops solutions (CRM, Reporting, IC).
- Serve as a key business partner to Commercial, Patient Services, BI, IT, and others.
- Monitor operational performance; identify risks/opportunities and recommend actions.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree in related business or scientific discipline and 6+ years progressively responsible experience in commercial operations/business analytics (pharma/biotech) including cross-functional initiative leadership.
- 3+ years in field operations areas: field force effectiveness, deployment/size/structure, targeting/alignment, incentive compensation, sales performance reporting/analysis, and Veeva CRM.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Experience building visualizations (PowerBI; Tableau/Qlik Sense preferred) and strong interest in learning new tools.
- Analytical expertise in statistics and structured business problem analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication; ability to present data clearly.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced matrix environment.
- Strong planning/organization/time management; ability to lead projects and influence stakeholders.
