Manager, Environmental Health & Safety

Role: EHS Manager responsible for establishing and leading a comprehensive Environment, Health & Safety program at ElevateBio's new Pittsburgh biomanufacturing facility. Responsibilities: oversee biosafety, chemical safety, and physical safety programs; ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and university regulations; conduct hazard analyses, incident investigations, and develop EHS systems aligned with ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards. Serve as the primary EHS resource for facility design, process safety, and risk mitigation efforts; promote a safety-focused culture through training and leadership. Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s in environmental science, occupational safety, or related field; 8+ years of experience in GMP biologics or cell/gene therapy facility startup; certifications such as RBP, CBSP, CSP, or CIH preferred.
