Manager-Environmental, Health & Safety

Role: Environment, Health, & Safety (EHS) Manager at Caris, overseeing safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and promote workplace safety across all sites. Responsibilities: develop and maintain safety policies, conduct training, perform inspections, manage audits and incident investigations, and respond to emergencies. Lead safety committee activities, coordinate with regulatory agencies (OSHA, EPA), and support disaster planning. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering field; 5-10 years of EHS compliance experience, including hazard communication, hazardous waste, and chemical hygiene; knowledge of federal, state (Texas), and local safety regulations; strong communication, organizational, and risk assessment skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office. Preferred: advanced degrees in environmental or occupational health, certifications such as CSP, CIH, or OSHA 30-hour, and experience in regulated manufacturing or life sciences. High-value: industry experience in manufacturing or highly regulated life sciences environments; focus on compliance, hazard management, and safety program implementation. Work setup: based in Dallas, TX; requires periodic travel, potential after-hours work, and emergency response. Physical demands include inspections and site tours, with ability to lift 30 lbs.
