Manager, Environmental Health and Safety

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain EHS Global standards, policies, systems, and programs applicable to area of responsibility
- Provide EHS leadership and direction for management, professional, technical, and support staff
- Ensure systems are in place for legal and ethical EHS compliance
- Provide business perspective, strategic, and tactical direction to develop and implement EHS initiatives for the EHS Long Range Plan
- Represent the company externally on EHS matters with regulatory agencies and non-government organizations
- Maintain a broad understanding of local, regional, and global EHS regulations and practices
- Maintain and update IT reporting databases; generate monthly and quarterly EHS performance reports
- Ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal requirements (including OSHA Process Safety Management (29 CFR 1910.119), EPA Risk Management Planning (40 CFR 68), Mechanical Integrity, PCI, DOT, EPA, etc.)
- Create a safety culture by directing efforts to reduce/eliminate injuries, accidents, product/equipment damage/loss, and unnecessary costs

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree (EHS related, Engineering) + 5โ€“12 years EHS experience OR Masterโ€™s degree (EHS related, Engineering) + 5โ€“10 years EHS experience; manufacturing or R&D EHS experience required
- Experience in chemical plant operations or Oil & Gas preferred
- EHS or Engineering professional certification preferred
- Experience implementing EHS regulations, conducting incident investigations, working with regulatory agencies/external organizations, and managing cross-functional teams
- Ability to develop practical, applicable standards/policies; technical writing and business communications skills
- Ability to build effective internal/external relationships and resolve conflict; manage projects/programs
