Role: Lead data science initiatives within Caris's biomedical research, product development, and commercial teams, focusing on precision medicine and multi-omics datasets. Responsibilities: manage and mentor a team of data scientists; oversee analytical projects from planning to validation; develop and review models, code, and validation results for scientific rigor; translate complex biomedical questions into analytical solutions; collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, clinical, and commercial teams; stay abreast of advances in data science and machine learning; improve team practices for quality and predictability. Requirements: PhD in data science, statistics, bioinformatics, or related field; 5+ years of biomedical data science leadership experience; proficiency in Python and SQL; extensive experience analyzing large-scale genomic, proteomic, or clinical datasets; strong understanding of statistical modeling and machine learning; proven track record of delivering validated data solutions. Preferred: experience in oncology, immunology, or precision medicine; developing molecular signatures or clinical decision support tools; cloud/high-performance computing expertise; familiarity with MLOps and AI workflows.
