Position Summary
Cybersecurity Manager supports day-to-day cybersecurity operations, monitoring enterprise security tools, investigating alerts, and coordinating incident response with internal and third-party partners. Owns vulnerability/exposure management and leads penetration testing, threat intelligence, threat hunting, and proactive risk identification, including security for AI/ML systems.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor/manage security tools and service providers; investigate/respond to alerts.
- Own and continuously improve vulnerability and exposure management (tooling, vendor coordination, scanning, penetration testing, remediation tracking).
- Lead threat hunting and manage threat intelligence to identify/analyze/mitigate emerging threats.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to strengthen security posture and drive timely remediation.
- Build automation scripts and SOAR workflows for log analysis, alert triage, incident response, and reporting.
- Integrate AI/ML into security operations for threat detection, anomaly identification, and risk analysis.
- Manage the Information Security ticket queue to meet SLOs.
- Support incident response and forensic investigations (analysis, documentation, evidence handling).
- Support audits/assessments/compliance; maintain and annually test the Cyber Incident Response Plan.
- Lead/contribute to cybersecurity initiatives and continuous improvement projects.
- Other responsibilities as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skills
- Bachelorβs in Cybersecurity/CS/IS or related; target 5 years cybersecurity + prior IT experience (pharma/biotech preferred).
- Required: industry-recognized certification (e.g., Security+, SSCP, CCNP Security, CISSP or equivalent).
- Skills: SIEM/EDR/NDR-NTA, vuln/exposure mgmt, SOAR; penetration testing/vuln assessments; Python/PowerShell/Bash automation; AI/ML foundations for cybersecurity use cases; NIST/CIS Controls/MITRE ATT&CK; strong analytical, communication, prioritization, and attention to detail.
- Travel domestically/internationally.
