Manager, Commercial Performance (Santa Clara, CA; onsite 3 days/week, remote flexibility 2 days/week)
Purpose
- Ensure executed customer agreements deliver intended financial and strategic value through post-contract performance management (utilization, revenue realization, deal-term compliance, and billing alignment).
- Partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to monitor deal performance, close gaps between contracted expectations and actual usage, and drive customer adherence.
Responsibilities
- Monitor commercial performance of executed agreements vs. contracted terms (utilization, procedure volumes, financial commitments, system/model adoption); identify underperformance, revenue leakage, or deviations.
- Revenue realization & billing alignment: partner with Finance/Billing to ensure accurate, timely invoicing aligned to contract terms; validate billing structures; resolve contracted vs. billed revenue gaps.
- Customer compliance & remediation: address underutilization/non-compliance; develop and execute corrective action plans (volume commitments, usage thresholds); support field teams with data/insights.
- Insights & analytics: build dashboards; generate deal effectiveness insights (adoption, ROI); provide visibility to risks/opportunities.
- Process improvement: standardize post-deal monitoring; develop compliance playbooks; incorporate learnings into future deals.
- Cross-functional collaboration with Sales, Finance, Pricing Ops, Contract Management, and Customer Success (if applicable).
Qualifications / Requirements
- 5+ years in commercial operations, deal desk, finance, pricing, or revenue operations.
- Bachelorβs degree required (MBA/advanced degree preferred).
- Strong knowledge of contract structures, revenue models, and contract-to-cash/billing/revenue recognition workflows.
- Advanced analytics (Excel, Power BI or similar); stakeholder management; detail-oriented problem solver.
- Travel: 25% domestically.
Preferred
- Medical device/capital equipment/healthcare technology experience; CRM (e.g., Dynamics), ERP/billing systems, contract lifecycle tools; post-sales performance/customer compliance program experience.
