Role Summary

Manager, Commercial Analytics

Commercial Analytics Manager is a key analytical role within Vericel, driving data-driven decision making by evaluating the effectiveness of business strategies, brand and program performance, and communicating assessments across the organization. This role collaborates with Sports Medicine and Burn Care sales franchises as well as Finance, Marketing, Market Access, and Commercial leadership to provide analytic and quantitative support for performance reporting, sales execution, and brand strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and report regularly on commercial sales performance, including territory-level sales activity, customer segmentation/targeting, and reach/frequency of promotional activity.
  • Refine, track, and report regularly on Key Performance Indicators, proactively researching key business trends to deliver analysis to finance/ELT.
  • Support near and long-term commercial forecasting processes which feed into overall corporate forecast, budget and long-range planning models.
  • Drive market research and competitive intelligence efforts across Vericelโ€šร„รดs burn and sports medicine franchises.
  • Own strategic reporting projects (e.g., disease landscape assessments, market data assessments).
  • Track and report regularly on marketing analytics, including the utilization of resources, impact of marketing activities, and other customer-facing programs.
  • Lead periodic Salesforce workload, sizing, and territory mapping analyses.
  • Manage and make recommendations regarding data sources (both for current and potential new sources).

Qualifications

  • Bachelorโ€šร„รดs degree, preferably in a finance, economics, mathematics or accounting.
  • 2-4 years of relevant work experience in Biotech or consulting. Strong technical/analytical skills to identify and solve problems.
  • Track record of delivering comprehensive data analysis in Excel.
  • Understanding of market research methodologies.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently; strong time management skills. Track record for completing assignments on-time and on-budget.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with ability to interface with all levels of management and multiple departments.
  • Ability to develop analysis and presentations with standard tools (i.e., Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Entrepreneurial with a bias toward action; resourceful, tenacious, and results oriented. Enjoys working in a fast-paced, small-company environment.
  • Experience with CRM systems is a plus.
