Role Summary

Manager Product Owner for Colleague Productivity Products, a core area of Pfizer Digital. This role leads the roadmap and strategy for tools that help colleagues find and curate knowledge, collaborate on files and documents, meet virtually or in person, and communicate corporate messaging. You will work with external partners and internal stakeholders to create product roadmaps, lead the vision for these product categories, and collaborate with training teams to enable effective usage.

Responsibilities

  • Product Roadmap Stewardship: Define and maintain quarterly/annual product roadmaps aligned to business objectives, customer needs, and budget constraints. Balance capacity across teams and vendors; proactively manage cross product dependencies and risks. Socialize roadmap decisions and tradeoffs with leadership and stakeholders, keeping plans current as data and priorities evolve.
  • Outcomes & KPI Ownership: Set outcome based KPIs/OKRs for each product and the portfolio (e.g., adoption, satisfaction, reliability, cost to serve, cycle time, release frequency). Build measurement plans and instrumentation; ensure dashboards provide leading/lagging indicators and clear targets. Run regular performance reviews; identify insights and actions; adjust the roadmap and backlog to improve value realization.
  • Backlog Management & Delivery Readiness: Translate strategy into prioritized work for agile execution. Convert outcomes into epics/features/user stories with crisp acceptance criteria and definition of done. Maintain a transparent, continuously prioritized backlog across products; manage scope and aging. Prepare teams for delivery (grooming, PI/quarterly planning) and ensure increments land on time and meet quality standards.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Voice of the Customer: Create a tight feedback loop with customers and partners. Lead discovery (interviews, surveys, telemetry) to validate problems, propositions, and experience quality. Represent the customer in decision forums; reconcile input from business owners, compliance, support, and engineering. Drive launch/adoption plans in partnership with change/training teams; measure and improve adoption and satisfaction.
  • Governance, Financials & Risk: Run the product as a business. Own investment cases and benefit realization; monitor budget vs. value and optimize run/grow/transform spend. Maintain product lifecycle governance (privacy, security, accessibility, compliance) and vendor/SOW performance. Identify and mitigate risks; maintain clear decision logs and auditable artifacts.
  • Communication & Leadership: Create clarity, generate energy, and deliver success across the portfolio. Craft a compelling narrative for strategy, outcomes, roadmap, and KPI performance; tailor communications for execs, teams, and customers. Make timely, transparent tradeoffs, drive alignment across Digital, business units, and vendors. Explain technical decisions in ways that non-technical folks can understand. Be highly collaborative with leadership both inside and outside of Digital.
  • Ecosystem & Integration Mindset: Ensure products fit together coherently and responsibly. Apply platform as product thinking; reuse standards, patterns, and shared services to speed delivery and reduce risk. Coordinate with architecture, security, data, and support teams to keep integrations and SLAs robust.
