Manager, Cloud FinOps Engineer

Role: Cloud FinOps Engineer responsible for optimizing cloud costs and governance across Bristol Myers Squibb's multi-cloud environment (AWS, Azure, GCP). Core responsibilities include analyzing usage and costs, developing automation and tooling with Python, managing cost observability solutions, enforcing tagging and cost controls, and collaborating with engineering, security, and finance teams to embed FinOps best practices into cloud architecture and operational workflows. The role emphasizes building scalable, reliable solutions for cost analysis, anomaly detection, and optimization insights, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and automating cost management processes. Qualifications: Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; 4–5+ years in cloud engineering, platform operations, or FinOps roles; strong knowledge of cloud platforms, compute/storage/networking, scripting with Python, and data analysis tools (SQL, Excel, visualization). Preferred: FinOps certification, experience with cloud billing tools (AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, GCP Billing), infrastructure-as-code (CloudFormation), and monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog). High-value specifics include multi-cloud environment management, cloud cost optimization, automation development, and cross-team collaboration within a regulated, enterprise setting. The position offers hybrid work in Princeton, NJ, with some travel.
