Purpose:
The Category Manager of Primary Packaging Non-Injectables partners with Director-level stakeholders to develop global procurement strategies, define strategic value drivers with key suppliers, secure collaborative partnerships, and achieve performance targets aligned with organizational goals. Category materials include films, foils, plastic bottles and caps, resins, trays and pouches.

Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end procurement processes, develop global procurement strategies, monitor contracts, and execute process improvements.
- Build a comprehensive annual strategic plan for the category aligned with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams (primarily at manufacturing sites) using market intelligence and industry/technology trends.
- Define and develop strategic value drivers with key suppliers to enable collaboration, cost savings, process optimization, and enhanced procurement value.
- Integrate sustainability and ESG measures into category strategies; collaborate with suppliers on responsible sourcing.
- Lead Supplier Management & Innovation (SMI) strategies to drive long-term innovation.
- Develop and activate procurement risk mitigation strategies; ensure compliance.
- Manage strategic category projects end-to-end; use data analytics to drive continuous improvement.
- Prepare for and lead negotiations with key suppliers using strong analytical insight and long-term perspective.

Qualifications:
- Bachelorโ€™s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Mgmt, or related field; Masterโ€™s preferred.
- Minimum 7 yearsโ€™ experience in procurement, supply chain, or related operations/business function.
- Experience partnering with major suppliers and reporting to senior leaders.
- Strong ability to develop high-impact deliverables.
- Pharmaceutical industry knowledge strongly preferred.
- Category management experience (market analysis, cost/financial assessment), negotiation/bidding fluency, change management.
- Strong stakeholder management and influence; collaborative supplier relationship-building.
- Strategic thinking/accountability and innovative problem-solving with executive presence.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence; resilience under pressure.
