Operations
Responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end delivery of cross-functional IR initiatives (scope, timelines, budget, quality).
- Identify, design, and implement process improvements across BPMO/IR workflows, tools, and standards.
- Lead IR annual planning (Long-Range Plan, Capital Plan) aligned to strategic priorities.
- Provide accurate, timely reporting/insights; use PPM tools (e.g., Clarity, Jira).
- Partner with resource management, reporting, and project management leads.
- Lead communication, adoption, and change management for BPMO activities across IR.
- Provide operational coaching/consultation to IR colleagues.
- Build strategic relationships with IR, Finance, and selected partners/suppliers.
- Represent IR by promoting AbbVie BTSโ€™s strategic vision and imperatives.
- Ensure compliance with applicable corporate and divisional policies/procedures.

Qualifications
Required
- Bachelorโ€™s (7 yrs), Masterโ€™s (6 yrs), or PhD (2 yrs) in scientific or business field.
- 2+ years in project management, business systems analysis, software deployment, or PMO administration.
- Experience in virtual/matrix organizations and multitask environments.
- Strong cross-functional negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Proven relationship-building across all levels and external partners.
- Ability to articulate/negotiates projects/priorities; conflict resolution, problem solving, crisis management.
- Big-picture perspective balancing efficiency and enterprise effectiveness.

Preferred
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations (FDA/EU) and impact to processes/tools.
- Vendor contracting/strategy experience.
