Purpose
The Manager, Business/Data Analytics, is a hands-on data and business analyst who will work with and eventually manage the data analyst within the AbbVie Complete Access function. Enhances data storytelling, business alignment, and insights delivery, and synchronizes business operations with data-driven processes and objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manages a team of Data Analysts (hiring, performance expectations, coaching, and development).
- Collaborates cross-functionally to deliver data-driven business outcomes and insights.
- Develops and implements organizational analytics to set PM goals and optimize data-driven projects; ensures accurate, insightful reporting.
- Leads projects using complex data models and predictive analytics to translate data into actionable insights.
- Directs data investigations; designs/builds dashboards, visualizations, and reports.
- Oversees data accuracy/QA using data mining to identify improvements and emerging trends.
- Manages reporting systems and performance metrics; tracks KPIs to drive operational improvements.
- Develops/supports analytics initiatives and systems to improve efficiency and data utilization.
- Acts as mentor and quality reviewer for Data Analysts.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs and/or Masterβs degree in business or related fields (physical/life science, pharmacy, nursing, engineering), with relevant experience.
- 8+ years in data/analytics in a regulated industry/service center or relevant experience.
- 2+ years managerial and/or project management in quality assurance or similar organization (highly desired).
- Experience driving process improvement using data-driven insights and KPIs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration.
- Six Sigma/continuous improvement certification or experience (preferred).
- Regulatory/compliance and/or information security experience (desired).
