Purpose
The Manager, Business/Data Analytics, is responsible for being a hands-on data and business analyst, working with and eventually managing the data analyst within the AbbVie Complete Access function. This role enhances the teamโs capabilities in data storytelling, business alignment, and insights delivery, ensuring business operations are synchronized with data-driven processes and business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Manages a team of Data Analysts, including selecting and hiring, guiding performance expectations, and developing staff through coaching and elevating analytical skills.
- Collaborates cross-functionally with business partners and internal teams to drive data-driven business outcomes and insights.
- Develops and implements organizational analytics using advanced techniques to set PM goals and optimize data-driven projects, ensuring accurate reporting of activities and outcomes.
- Leads projects using complex data models and predictive analytics to translate complex data into clear, actionable business insights.
- Directs data-related investigations; designs and builds dashboards, visualizations, and reports to support strategy and operations.
- Provides oversight for accuracy and quality assurance using data mining to identify improvements and emerging data trends.
- Oversees reporting systems and performance metrics; tracks KPIs using analytics tools to drive operational improvements.
- Develops and supports analytics-driven initiatives, programs, and systems to enhance operational efficiency and data utilization.
- Acts as mentor and quality reviewer for Data Analysts.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs and/or Masterโs degree in business, physical/life science, pharmacy, nursing, engineering, or related field (if combined with relevant work experience).
- 8+ years in data and analytics/service center/technical field in a regulated industry.
- 2+ years managerial and/or project management experience in quality assurance (highly desired).
- Experience driving process improvement initiatives using data-driven insights and KPIs.
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.
- Six Sigma/continuous improvement methodology certification or experience (preferred).
- Regulatory, compliance, and/or information security experience (desired).
