Manager - Bioinformatics

Role: Lead and manage a bioinformatics team supporting NGS data analysis within a clinical/genomics setting at Caris. Responsibilities: oversee development, validation, and operation of scalable bioinformatics pipelines; support genomic data interpretation, assay validation, and regulatory compliance; collaborate with cross-functional teams including laboratory, clinical, software engineering, and quality; ensure timely delivery of analytical solutions and maintain documentation. Requirements: PhD in Bioinformatics, Genomics, Computational Biology, or related field; 5-8 years’ hands-on experience in NGS pipeline development, validation, or production; 2-4 years in people management; strong programming skills (Python, Bash, R, SQL), experience with cloud platforms (AWS); excellent communication, project management, and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills. Preferred: experience in research and clinical settings, liquid biopsy/ctDNA applications, multi-omic data, regulated environments (CLIA, CAP, FDA), and scientific publication.
