Manager, Applied AI, Advanced Informatics

Role: Manager, Applied AI within Regeneron's Advanced Informatics team, focusing on designing and validating AI/ML solutions for complex health data to support biopharmaceutical research and development. Responsibilities include framing clinical and business challenges into AI/ML problem statements, building and evaluating ML pipelines (data ingestion, feature engineering, model training), conducting experiments and validation studies, and integrating models into informatics workflows. The role involves staying current with foundation models and NLP advancements, documenting research, and communicating model insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related; 4–6+ years of applied AI/ML experience; proficiency in Python, ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow), and NLP; experience with health data (EHR, claims, genomics); familiarity with medical ontologies (SNOMED, ICD, LOINC); published work or open-source contributions preferred.
