Role Summary

Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies is recruiting for a Manager, Agile Procurement, for our Innovative Medicine Research & Development Procurement team. The location is United States (Titusville PA, Spring House PA, Raritan NJ) or Beerse, Belgium.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the Janssen R&D priorities and partner with Procurement Category Leaders to devise strategies that advance those priorities
  • Collaborate with business leaders to ensure Procurement strategies meet the business needs, and are adopted within the business
  • Identify industry trends that Procurement must incorporate in its category strategies to ensure sustainable relevance to the business
  • Lead strategic sourcing events and negotiations
  • Deliver against performance targets for the Janssen Procurement organization

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • A Bachelor's Degree is required, and an MBA or other advanced degree is desirable
    • Minimum 5 years related experience is required
    • Understanding challenges through the eyes of business leaders
    • Able to persuade others to change behavior in pursuit of a common goal
    • Strong leadership and collaboration skills at the senior executive level, as well as with peers
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to expertly present complex information to senior executives
    • Broad-based understanding of core procurement areas of focus including spend management, source-to-pay
    • Strong project and change management capabilities
    • Proven learning agility, improving both yourself and the people around you
  • Preferred:
    • Preferred experience in Life Sciences, Med Technology or FMCG sectors
    • Demonstrated agile behaviors
    • High level of credibility with internal customers, and with the supplier community, based on broad experience
    • Track record in leading cross-functional teams and driving significant change programs
    • Multi-category experience across varying geographies and businesses
    • Flexibility and willingness to respond to changes in the external environment
