Responsibilities:
- Serve as subject-matter expert for revenue accounting under ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP; review complex partnership/customer contracts to determine proper revenue recognition and disclosures.
- Establish and maintain revenue accounting policies/procedures in line with regulatory standards and SOX control requirements.
- Partner with FP&A to ensure accurate tracking of actual labor hours, update budgeted resource assumptions, and maintain audit-ready revenue recognition inputs.
- Perform order-to-cash month-end and quarter-end close activities (journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, flux analysis).
- Assist with gross-to-net revenue accounting (including review of third-party support).
- Lead revenue-related disclosures for Forms 10-Q and 10-K.
- Prepare and maintain SOX-compliant controls for revenue and accounts receivable cycles.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years financial accounting experience with significant focus on ASC 606 revenue recognition.
- In-depth U.S. GAAP and SOX compliance knowledge for revenue, receivables, contract assets, and deferred revenue.
- Ability to manage complex monthly/quarterly close; clearly communicate with cross-functional partners.
- Lead change initiatives and multi-phase projects; strong organization, accuracy, and ability to meet tight timelines.
- Strong communication skills; highest integrity; adapt to change; team player; self-motivated.
- Occasional travel between company locations.

Preferred:
- Technical accounting experience in life sciences/biotech/pharma; Big 4 and/or public company experience.

Compensation/Benefits:
- California pay range: $120,000–$145,000.
