Role Summary

Maintenance Technician IV (Electrician) on the 3rd shift (5:00 pm – 2:30 am). Maintains department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards. Works with Reliability Engineering on maintenance program development, root cause analysis, and reliability-centered maintenance, and may facilitate workshops. Serves as an SME in advanced skilled trade disciplines and contributes to technical training and cross-functional support. Supports continuous improvement and safety initiatives and adheres to safety and GMP regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
  • Works closely with Department Reliability Engineering regarding maintenance program development, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) analysis. May facilitate various workshops.
  • Considered an SME (subject matter expert) in advanced skilled trade disciplines.
  • Contributes to developing and delivering technical training modules, OJT's, etc.
  • Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
  • Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site.
  • Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations.

Qualifications

  • Required: HS diploma with 10+ yrs. experience or College degree, college certificate, or formal apprenticeship and 5+ years of work experience related to skilled trades or other relevant technical degree
  • Preferred: CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation
  • Required: Proficient user of Abbvie’s CMMS (computerized maintenance management system) and intermediate skills with MS Windows
  • Required: Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (i.e., machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools)
  • Required: Electrical skills and knowledge
