Role Summary

The Electrical Maintenance Technician will maintain, service, troubleshoot and repair electrical systems used in utilities and facilities areas. They will be required to work on a variety of electrical equipment ranging from lighting systems, to power distribution, and motors. This role may involve operating at voltages up to 13,200 V and requires experience with 480 V at minimum.

Responsibilities

  • Performs troubleshooting and repairs on all commercial and industrial equipment.
    • Examples:
      • Variable Frequency Drives
      • Motors and Controls
      • Power Distribution Systems
      • Lighting Management Systems
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks on a large variety of equipment including infrared scanning and static bonding and grounding.
  • Communicates, through various means, such as email, voicemail, and maintenance management system (Maximo) the status of ongoing work activities.
  • Will work with voltages up to 13,200. Must have at a minimum experience with 480 volts.

  • Maintains the function of department assets to ensure reliable equipment and quality standards are met.
  • Assists in root cause investigation and reliability centered maintenance analysis.
  • Capable of training others on tasks.
  • Is proficient in multiple skilled trade disciplines and creates or edits maintenance job plans.
  • Fully proficient in their core function, performing advanced level tasks.
  • Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.
  • Supports continuous improvement projects and safety initiatives within the maintenance organization and/or the site.
  • Understands and follows all safety and GMP regulations.
  • Assist cross functional teams outside of the maintenance organization.

Qualifications

  • HS diploma with 5+ years of experience or relevant certificate with 3+ years of experience or associateโ€™s technical degree with 1+ year of experience, or proficient in two or more skilled maintenance functions.
  • CMRT (Certified Maintenance and Reliability Technician) or equivalent accreditation desired.
  • Knowledge and ability to use advanced tools (e.g., machine tools, diagnostic tools, predictive tools).
  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Windows).
