The Position
- Improve systems & equipment reliability on assigned process, reduce system/equipment downtime, and support operation of assigned process.
- 1st shift: 6amβ4:30pm Monday through Thursday.
Essential Functions
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements; follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Support development of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans, and spare parts lists for assigned processes.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
- Interpret mechanical/electrical specifications, drawings, and other technical data sheets.
- Work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts, and/or weekends.
- Document maintenance activities correctly in SAP.
- Partner with process owners to improve performance and reliability of process equipment.
- Train fellow technicians and develop the maintenance team; learn new systems.
- Use Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) tools for Root Cause Analysis and resolution of equipment issues.
- Suggest practical equipment/work-practice improvements.
- Collaborate with Responsible Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment problems.
Physical Requirements
- Move equipment/supplies up to 33 lbs; operate/inspect equipment using hands.
- Stand/walk up to a 12-hour shift; may require corrected vision to 20/25 and color vision.
- Occasionally ascend/descend ladders; work at elevated heights; work around odorous/hazardous materials; wear latex gloves.
- Occasionally work in extremely cold or loud-noise environments; occasionally work in confined spaces; occasionally in outdoor weather.
- Able to pass a driving exam for powered industrial trucks; does not require a valid drivers license.
Qualifications
- Associateβs degree in relevant field or equivalent military/industry training (mechanical, electrical & control systems).
- Required: 5+ years manufacturing industry experience.
- Required: 3+ years regulated industry and solid dose manufacturing experience.
- Required: equipment troubleshooting; preventative and predictive maintenance.
- Preferred: ability to train new hires on maintenance processes and technical documentation (SOPs, PMs, SAP).
- Preferred: proficiency in 3+ processes from the Process Alignment section (not provided here).
- Required: successful completion of Maintenance Technician II Job Qualification Requirements (JQR) and promotion board approval.
- Plus: experience planning/organizing work, managing execution, checking results, and revising work plan.
