The Position:
- Improve systems & equipment reliability on assigned process, reduce system/equipment downtime, and support operation of assigned process.
Essential Functions:
- Follow all safety & environmental requirements; follow Standard Operating Procedures.
- Support development of maintenance procedures, maintenance plans, and spare parts lists.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance in a timely manner.
- Interpret mechanical/electrical specifications, drawings, and technical data sheets.
- Work rotating shifts, night shifts, extended shifts, and/or weekends.
- Document maintenance activities in SAP.
- Partner with process owners to improve equipment performance and reliability.
- Train fellow technicians and learn new systems.
- Use Systematic Problem Solving (SPS) tools for Root Cause Analysis and issue resolution.
- Suggest practical equipment and work-practice improvements.
- Collaborate with Responsible Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to troubleshoot equipment.
Qualifications (Required / Preferred):
- Required: Associateβs Degree (relevant field) or equivalent military/industry training in mechanical/electrical/control systems; 1β5 years relevant experience.
- Preferred: Knowledge of one or more Process Areas; experience with SAP/automated records; ability to read schematics/wiring diagrams/technical documents; computer literacy; planning/organizing work experience.
- Required: Systematic problem-solving/troubleshooting; supports event response and documents problems to drive rapid solutions.
