Night Shift (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday & every other Saturday), 6 pm–6 am

Technician position involving general maintenance and preventive maintenance under minimal direct supervision to keep the facility and electrical distribution systems within operational specifications and safe. Part of a 24-hour/7-day operation; may require regular off-shift and weekend schedule.

Responsibilities
- Perform PMs
- Follow written preventative maintenance procedures
- Complete maintenance paperwork (work orders and logbooks)
- Review/update maintenance procedures based on field experience
- Review/update drawings to reflect as-built conditions
- Identify opportunities to improve the PM program
- Recommend PM program changes based on equipment experience and historical data analysis
- Own selected equipment and serve as point person for repairs/PM
- Identify critical spare parts
- Execute Repairs
- Respond to customer requests and/or alarm conditions
- Assess breakdowns, identify problems systematically, and restore operation
- Document repair activities accurately
- Support Quality Assurance investigations of breakdowns
- Operate site utility systems (monitor utility power, electrical distribution system, motor control center, etc.)
- Respond to out-of-range conditions or trends
- Troubleshoot issues
- Contractor Support
- Supervise contractors performing tasks within the building
- Ensure contractors follow safety and cGMP standards
- Oversee technical quality of work performed
- Lead Small Projects
- Identify facility/utility improvement projects, develop scope/estimates, and manage small projects
- Contribute to facility support activities (e.g., office moves, area reconfiguration, painting)

Skills/Abilities (required/preferred)
- Technical knowledge
- Electrical test equipment (multi-meters, Meggers, circuit testers, etc.)
- PLC controls, wiring, and terminations
- Fire alarm systems (license a plus)
- Motor control centers wiring/functions
- Power distribution 480v and below
- Rotating machinery (pumps, fans, blowers)
- Automation systems
- Engineering principles for facility/production equipment
- Access control and interlock systems
- Ability to read P&IDs and other engineering documents
- Detail oriented
- Troubleshooting
- Hands-on ability to isolate problems and identify root cause
- Ability to lift/move 40 lbs overhead
- Communication
- Ability to clearly describe technical issues
- Writing Skills
- Clearly and neatly document work performed
- Revise maintenance procedures to define required tasks
- Proofread others’ work for accuracy
- Regulatory
- OSHA safe work practices
- cGMP, GDP, and FDA requirements as they apply to maintenance
- Pharmaceutical Operations
- Pharmaceutical manufacturing technology (preferably aseptic), including fillers, washers, autoclaves, HEPA filters, etc.
- Computer Systems
- Process control and instrumentation systems (basic)
- Typical office automation software suite (basic)

Qualifications
Technician I
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; 1–3 years of maintenance experience
- Preferred: Two-year technical degree/trade school; regulated industry experience; basic cGMP/GDP/FDA understanding (maintenance); pharmaceutical operations experience

Technician II
- Required: Not specified
- Preferred: Two-year technical degree/trade school; regulated industry experience; basic cGMP/GDP/FDA understanding (maintenance); 3–7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience

Technician III
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent; 7+ years of maintenance experience
- Preferred: Two-year technical degree/trade school; regulated industry experience; basic cGMP/GDP/FDA understanding (maintenance); 3–7 years of pharmaceutical industry experience
